Vic: Man injured in house fire

MELBOURNE, Aug 16 AAP - A man is recovering in hospital after a fire destroyed his
home southwest of Melbourne.

The man, in his early 30s, was forced to run out the front door of his Clifton Springs
home as the blaze erupted around him at 2.30am on Sunday.

He suffered burns and smoke inhalation but is listed in stable condition in Geelong Hospital.

The fire gutted the home on Jetty Road and severely damaged a neighbouring property.

Police say the cause of the fire is not known yet.
