KT's IPTV user base nearing the 1 million mark.(SERVICES)(Brief article)(Statistical data)

Korean telecom operator KT Corp.'s Internet Protocol television (IPTV) user base is nearing 1 million, according to reliable sources. Regulator Korea Communications Commission said that the country's IPTV user base is around 988,000. This consists of 703,000 real-time IPTV subscriptions and around 285,000 video-on-demand (VoD) users. But, although KT is witnessing a healthy growth rate in its IPTV subscriber numbers, the segment as a whole may not be able to reach the target of 2 million users by this year's end.
