Suite of Virus Protection Products Designed to Secure Networks From

the Internet Gateway to the Desktop

Trend Micro Inc. (Nasdaq:TMIC), the leading provider of antivirus protection for the Internet gateway, today announced that Solutia Inc. has chosen Trend Micro's NeaTSuite(TM) package of centrally managed antivirus software products to protect their desktops, servers, and Internet gateways from viruses and other malicious code. Solutia is using Trend Micro's comprehensive suite of virus protection among its various business units around the world, to provide protection for its more than 9,000 users.

Since their purchase of NeaTSuite, the Enabling Technology department at Solutia's headquarters in St. Louis, Mo. has been installing Trend Micro's ScanMail(R) for Lotus Notes virus scanner at their corporate office and subsidiary companies. eManager(TM), the optional content filtering plug-in, has also been implemented at several locations. Internet gateway and file server protection, provided by InterScan(R) VirusWall(R) and ServerProtect(R), will also be offered to Solutia's users. Central management and updating of all these Trend Micro products, regardless of platform or location, can be handled through the Trend Virus Control System (Trend VCS(TM)) web-based central management console. Taken as a whole, NeaTSuite provides Solutia with quick and easy deployment of pattern file and scan engine updates across their entire network, from the Internet gateway to the desktop.
